There was no national program. No infrastructure. No easy way for consumers to do the right thing โ€” even when they wanted to. What began as a simple recycling initiative has grown into Canada's largest cannabis recycling network, connecting retailers, producers, consumers, and community partners to create real environmental and social impact. Recycling is Dope exists because doing the right thing should be easy. Social Impact Partner Why Every Box Matters Behind every Recycling is Dope collection program is a Goodwill Industries of Alberta employee helping process and prepare materials for recycling. Goodwill Industries of Alberta has been an important partner throughout our journey, helping create meaningful employment opportunities while supporting the processing and preparation of materials for recycling. Employment Impact ๐Ÿ‘ท Meaningful Employment Every collection bin processed creates work for Goodwill employees โ€” people with disabilities and barriers to work building real careers. โ™ป๏ธ Material Processing Materials are sorted, processed, and prepared for diversion โ€” keeping cannabis packaging out of landfill and in productive use. ๐Ÿ“Š Tracked & Reported Every collection cycle is tracked. Monthly reports give retailers and producers documented environmental impact data.
