Licensed producers are under pressure to improve margins. Most facilities don't know what they're throwing away — or how much it's costing them. We help identify what's in your waste, reduce disposal costs, and build practical diversion programs that support ESG reporting. Waste Costs Are Often Overlooked. 📊 Most Facilities Don't Know Their Waste Composition When waste is sorted into a single bin, you're paying landfill rates on material that could be diverted, composted, or recycled at a lower cost. 💡 You Can't Reduce What You Don't Measure A waste audit gives you the baseline. Once you know what's in the stream, you can build a real reduction plan — not just assumptions. 🏭 Cannabis Waste Has Unique Challenges PPE, grow media, trellis netting, and production packaging all need different handling. Generic waste services don't account for this — we do. 📋 ESG Reporting Requires Documented Data Sustainability commitments need numbers behind them. A structured diversion program gives you measurable, reportable data every cycle. The Starting Point Start With a Waste Audit. Most producers are paying to dispose of material they haven't fully measured. A cannabis-specific waste audit gives you the baseline needed to reduce disposal costs, identify diversion opportunities, and build a practical waste reduction plan. [Talk to a Recycling Program Specialist →](https://www.recyclingisdope.ca/meetings/corey-saban/clone?hsLang=en-ca) The Audit Covers ✓Total waste volumes and frequency ✓Waste stream composition by category ✓Current disposal costs and hauling rates ✓Diversion opportunities by material type ✓ESG reporting baseline ✓Recommended savings plan The Case for Auditing Why Waste Audits Work Most producers focus on reducing labour, packaging, and production costs. Waste is often overlooked because it's treated as a fixed expense. A waste audit identifies what materials are entering the waste stream, where contamination is occurring, and which materials can be diverted at a lower cost than landfill disposal. The result is a data-driven plan to reduce disposal costs, improve sustainability performance, and support ESG reporting. Audit Scope What We Review Every material stream in your facility — assessed individually so we can find the real savings opportunities. 🧤 PPE Gloves, masks, gowns, booties 🌿 Trellis Netting Plant support netting 🪴 Grow Media Rockwool, coco, soil 🎞️ Plastic Film Poly film, wrap, liners 📦 Cardboard OCC, shipping boxes 🫙 Packaging Waste Retail packaging, labels 🗑️ General Waste Mixed landfill stream ⚙️ Production Waste Trim, biomass, organics After the Audit Then We Build the Savings Plan The audit gives you the data. The savings plan puts it to work. 💲 Better Waste Pricing Renegotiate disposal rates based on actual waste composition and volume data. 🚛 Hauling Optimization Right-size your pickup frequency and bin configuration to eliminate unnecessary haul costs. ♻️ Landfill Diversion Identify recyclable and compostable streams that can be diverted at lower cost than landfill. 📊 ESG Reporting Monthly diversion data and waste reduction metrics for your sustainability reports. 📦 Packaging Recommendations Source Canadian-made and recycled-content packaging to reduce waste at the source. 🏭 Supplier Integration Connect with Canadian suppliers for sustainable inputs that align with your diversion goals. Full Service Additional LP Services 💰 Waste Cost Savings We review your current waste contracts, disposal rates, and hauling configuration to identify where you're overpaying. ♻️ Landfill Diversion Program A structured program to divert recyclable, compostable, and reusable materials from landfill — with monthly reporting to track progress. 🍁 Canadian-Made Packaging Reduce supply chain risk and support domestic manufacturing. We source Canadian-made packaging options for licensed producers. 🔄 Recycled-Content Packaging Close the loop on your supply chain with packaging made from recycled materials — supporting your sustainability narrative and ESG goals.
