Terms & Conditions
Version 1.3 · Effective Date: June 1, 2026 · Recycling is Dope · A Division of [Re] Waste
These Terms & Conditions ("Agreement") govern participation in all Recycling is Dope programs, services, and digital platforms ("Program"), including but not limited to:

  • Consumer Services — drop-off locations, store locator, and public-facing recycling participation
  • Retailer Membership Program — annual and monthly memberships, round-up revenue program, referral program
  • Licensed Producer Services — waste audits, diversion programs, packaging recommendations
  • Community & Events — community events, industry activations, Goodwill partnership programs
The Program is operated by Recycling is Dope, a division, brand, affiliate, nominee, trade name, or program of 2803363 Alberta Ltd., operating as [Re] Waste Recycling, or any successor entity, affiliate, nominee, or assign (collectively referred to as "Recycling is Dope" or "RID").

By using any Recycling is Dope service, website, drop-off location, enrolling in the Program, submitting payment, or checking the acceptance box during checkout, the User agrees to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions.
Section 1
Program Overview
The Recycling is Dope Program provides cannabis retailers with a turnkey cannabis packaging recycling solution.
Program components may include:
  • Recycling bins
  • Collection services
  • Pre-paid shipping labels
  • Diversion and sustainability reporting
  • Marketing materials
  • National retailer locator listing
  • Customer round-up revenue programs
  • Staff onboarding and training
  • Customer engagement initiatives
Recycling is Dope reserves the right to improve, modify, expand, replace, suspend, or discontinue Program components from time to time. Participation in the Program does not guarantee any specific diversion rate, recycling volume, revenue amount, customer participation level, or business outcome.
Section 1A
Consumer Terms — Drop-Off & Public Participation
These terms apply to any individual using Recycling is Dope drop-off locations, the store locator, or public-facing recycling services ("Consumer").
(a)Drop-off services are provided free of charge to Consumers at participating retail locations.
(b)Consumers are responsible for ensuring all materials deposited are empty cannabis packaging from licensed Canadian cannabis products. Hazardous, biomedical, or non-cannabis materials must not be deposited.
(c)Recycling is Dope reserves the right to reject, return, or dispose of non-conforming materials at the Consumer's cost.
(d)Recycling is Dope does not guarantee acceptance of all cannabis packaging types at all locations. Accepted materials may vary by location and are subject to change.
(e)Recycling is Dope is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from Consumer use of drop-off locations or participating retail premises.
(f)Store locator information is provided for convenience only. Recycling is Dope does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or availability of participating locations listed on the website.
Section 1B
Retailer Terms — Membership & Revenue Program
These terms apply to licensed cannabis retailers participating in the Recycling is Dope Retailer Membership Program ("Retailer"). Retailer obligations including membership fees, payment authorization, cancellation, and the Personal Guarantee are governed by Sections 2 through 9 of this Agreement.
(a)The Retailer is responsible for ensuring all staff are trained on the round-up program and drop-off collection protocols.
(b)The Retailer acknowledges that customer participation in round-up transactions is voluntary and Recycling is Dope does not guarantee any specific round-up revenue, participation rate, or return on investment.
(c)The Retailer is responsible for maintaining the collection bin in a clean, accessible, and operational condition throughout the Program term.
(d)Revenue projections, ROI calculators, and example scenarios provided on the Recycling is Dope website are illustrative only and are not guarantees of performance.
(e)The Retailer is solely responsible for compliance with all applicable cannabis retail regulations in their jurisdiction. Recycling is Dope does not provide regulatory, legal, or compliance advice.
(f)Collection bins and program materials remain the property of Recycling is Dope and must be returned upon termination of the membership.
Section 1C
Licensed Producer Terms — Waste Audits & Diversion
These terms apply to licensed cannabis producers engaging Recycling is Dope for waste audit services, diversion programs, or packaging recommendations ("Producer"). Specific engagement terms will be set out in a Statement of Work which incorporates these Terms & Conditions by reference.
(a)Waste audit results represent a point-in-time assessment and are not a comprehensive or ongoing assessment of waste generation across the Producer's facility.
(b)Savings estimates, diversion projections, and cost reduction recommendations are illustrative projections only and are not guarantees of performance.
(c)The Producer is responsible for providing accurate and complete information regarding facility operations, waste volumes, and site access. Recycling is Dope is not liable for findings materially affected by inaccurate or incomplete information.
(d)All audit data, findings, and reports are confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party without prior written consent from the Producer.
(e)Packaging recommendations are provided for informational purposes only. Recycling is Dope does not warrant the performance, compliance, or regulatory suitability of any recommended packaging product or supplier.

Section 1D
Community & Events Terms
These terms apply to any individual, organization, or event partner engaging with Recycling is Dope through community events, industry activations, or the Goodwill partnership program ("Community Partner").
(a)Event participation and community activations are subject to separate event-specific agreements where applicable.
(b)Recycling is Dope is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage occurring at community events, festivals, or industry activations not directly operated by Recycling is Dope.
(c)Photography, video, and other media captured at Recycling is Dope events may be used for marketing and promotional purposes unless the individual provides written objection prior to the event.
(d)The Goodwill Industries of Alberta partnership is a program collaboration. Recycling is Dope does not represent, warrant, or guarantee the employment outcomes, program terms, or operational results of Goodwill Industries of Alberta.
(e)Community Partners must not use the Recycling is Dope name, logo, or brand assets without prior written authorization.
(f)Recycling is Dope reserves the right to decline, cancel, or withdraw from any community engagement at its sole discretion.
Section 2
Term of Agreement
The Program is sold as a fixed twelve (12) month commitment. The Agreement commences on the date of enrollment and continues for twelve (12) consecutive months.
The Retailer acknowledges that substantial costs are incurred immediately upon enrollment, including but not limited to:
  • Program administration
  • Recycling bin allocation
  • Marketing material production
  • Shipping label allocation
  • Reporting system setup
  • Staff onboarding and customer support
  • Program management
Accordingly, the Program Fee is fully earned upon enrollment.
Automatic Renewal
The Program will automatically renew for successive twelve (12) month terms at the end of each Program year unless the Retailer provides written notice of cancellation to Recycling is Dope at least thirty (30) days prior to the renewal date.
Renewal pricing will reflect any applicable adjustments as set out in Section 3. The Retailer will be notified of renewal pricing and the upcoming renewal date no less than thirty (30) days in advance.
Cancellation notices must be submitted in writing to hello@recyclingisdope.ca. Verbal cancellations are not accepted. Cancellation of the Program does not entitle the Retailer to a refund of any fees paid.
Section 3
Program Fees
Program Fees are determined at the time of enrollment and are specified in the applicable invoice, checkout confirmation, or written agreement. Pricing may vary based on the number of locations, program tier, negotiated terms, or multi-location discount arrangements agreed upon between Recycling is Dope and the Retailer.

Multi-Location & Enterprise Pricing
Retailers enrolling multiple locations may be eligible for negotiated pricing, volume discounts, or consolidated billing arrangements. All such terms will be confirmed in writing prior to enrollment and reflected on the applicable invoice or agreement.
All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes. The Program Fee payable by the Retailer is the amount confirmed at checkout or as set out in the applicable invoice or written agreement. Invoices may be issued by Recycling is Dope, [Re] Waste Recycling, 2803363 Alberta Ltd., or any affiliate, successor, assign, or nominee designated by Recycling is Dope.
Renewal Pricing
Renewal pricing may be adjusted annually. Upon renewal, Program Fees may increase by the greater of:
(a)Five percent (5%); or
(b)The percentage increase in the Canadian Consumer Price Index (CPI) over the preceding twelve (12) months.
The Retailer shall be notified of renewal pricing prior to the commencement of any renewal term.
Immediate Pricing Adjustment
Recycling is Dope reserves the right to adjust pricing immediately where material composition, volume, contamination rates, service frequency, transportation requirements, regulatory requirements, or customer scope of work materially differs from the assumptions used to establish pricing.
Section 4
Payment Authorization
The Retailer authorizes Recycling is Dope and its payment processors to charge the payment method provided for all amounts owing under this Agreement.
The Retailer shall maintain a valid payment method throughout the Agreement term. If the payment method becomes invalid, expires, is cancelled, or is otherwise unavailable, the Retailer shall provide updated payment information within five (5) business days.
Recycling is Dope may automatically process all scheduled payments without additional authorization. Returned payments, declined transactions, chargebacks, or payment disputes may result in administrative fees and collection action.
Section 5
Monthly Financing Terms
Retailers selecting a Monthly Financing Membership acknowledge and agree that:
(a)The financing option is a payment convenience only.
(b)The Program remains a twelve (12) month commitment.
(c)The Program is not month-to-month.
(d)Early cancellation does not eliminate payment obligations.
(e)Failure to participate does not eliminate payment obligations.
(f)The full Program Fee remains payable regardless of participation levels.
The Retailer acknowledges that the financing arrangement is being extended in reliance upon the representations made during enrollment.
Section 6
Cancellation, Default & Acceleration
The Retailer may discontinue participation in the Program at any time upon written notice. However:
  • Cancellation does not terminate payment obligations.
  • No refunds shall be issued.
  • The full Program Fee remains payable.
The following constitute Events of Default: missed payments, declined credit card transactions, chargebacks, fraudulent activity, material breach of this Agreement, or insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings.
Upon default, Recycling is Dope may: (a) suspend Program services; (b) terminate Program participation; (c) accelerate the Agreement; (d) declare all remaining unpaid amounts immediately due and payable.
The Retailer agrees that all accelerated amounts become immediately payable without further notice.
Section 7
Collection Costs & Interest
The Retailer agrees to pay all costs incurred by Recycling is Dope in recovering unpaid amounts, including: legal fees, collection agency fees, administrative costs, court costs, filing fees, enforcement costs, and credit reporting costs.
Interest shall accrue on overdue amounts at the rate of eighteen percent (18%) per annum calculated monthly. The Retailer agrees that Recycling is Dope may report delinquent accounts to credit bureaus, collection agencies, lenders, and other credit reporting organizations.
Section 8
Personal Guarantee
For Monthly Financing Memberships, the individual completing enrollment acknowledges and agrees that:
(a)They are authorized to bind the Retailer.
(b)They have reviewed these Terms & Conditions.
(c)They understand the Retailer is entering into a twelve (12) month financial commitment.
As a material condition of Recycling is Dope extending financing, the individual enrolling the Retailer personally guarantees all obligations arising under this Agreement. The Guarantor agrees to be jointly and severally liable with the Retailer for all Program Fees, outstanding balances, accelerated balances, interest, legal fees, collection costs, and enforcement costs.
This Personal Guarantee survives business closure, insolvency, bankruptcy, restructuring, sale of business, change of ownership, and dissolution of the Retailer. Recycling is Dope shall not be required to pursue the Retailer before pursuing the Guarantor. This Personal Guarantee remains in force until all obligations have been paid in full.
Section 9
Referral Program
Recycling is Dope operates a voluntary Referral Program through which active Program members may refer other cannabis retailers to the Program.
Referral rewards are subject to the following terms:
  • A referral reward of $500 CAD is issued as account credit per successful referral.
  • A referral is deemed successful when the referred retailer completes enrollment and full payment of their first Program fee.
  • Referral credits are applied toward the referring Retailer's next annual renewal only and have no cash value.
  • There is no limit on the number of referrals a Retailer may submit.
  • Self-referrals, referrals of existing Program members, or referrals submitted after a retailer has already been contacted by Recycling is Dope do not qualify.
  • Recycling is Dope reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Referral Program at any time with reasonable notice.
  • Referral rewards are not transferable and expire if the referring Retailer's membership lapses or is not renewed.
Section 10
General Provisions
These Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties. No oral representations or statements shall modify this Agreement.
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising from this Agreement shall be resolved exclusively in the Courts of Edmonton, Alberta.
Electronic acceptance, click-through acceptance, electronic signatures, electronic records, and digital acknowledgements shall be deemed legally binding and enforceable. If any provision of this Agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 11
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recycling is Dope shall not be liable for lost profits, business interruption, consequential damages, indirect damages, special damages, or punitive damages.
The maximum liability of Recycling is Dope shall not exceed the total Program Fees actually paid by the Retailer during the preceding twelve (12) months.
All revenue examples, calculators, projections, estimates, and illustrations are for informational purposes only and are not guarantees of performance.
Section 12
Reporting & Data
Diversion reports, audit summaries, and sustainability documentation provided by Recycling is Dope are prepared based on information available at the time of reporting.
  • Reports are intended for the Retailer's or Producer's internal use and ESG reporting purposes only.
  • Data may be based on estimates, averages, or industry benchmarks where direct measurement is not available.
  • Recycling is Dope does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of reports for any specific regulatory or legal purpose.
  • The Retailer or Producer is responsible for verifying report data before submitting to any regulatory body, lender, or third party.
  • Reports remain the property of Recycling is Dope and are licensed to the recipient for internal use only.
Section 13
Equipment & Materials Acceptance
Where Recycling is Dope provides collection bins, packaging supplies, or other physical program materials, the Retailer or Producer agrees to the following:
  • All bins, containers, and program materials remain the property of Recycling is Dope at all times.
  • The Retailer is responsible for the care, security, and appropriate use of all equipment during the program term.
  • Equipment must be returned in a clean and serviceable condition upon termination of the membership.
  • The Retailer shall pay replacement cost for any equipment that is lost, stolen, damaged beyond normal wear and tear, or misused.
  • Equipment may not be relocated, sublicensed, or used for unauthorized purposes.
Recycling is Dope accepts only materials consistent with the Program description. The Retailer and Consumer are responsible for ensuring all materials deposited are empty cannabis packaging from licensed Canadian cannabis products.
(a)Hazardous, toxic, biomedical, or prohibited materials are not accepted under any circumstances.
(b)Contaminated or non-conforming materials may be rejected, returned, or disposed of at the depositing party's cost.
(c)Misrepresentation of materials may result in immediate program suspension and cost recovery.
(d)The Retailer assumes full liability for any costs, fines, or remediation arising from undisclosed or non-conforming materials deposited at their location.
(e)Acceptance of materials in one period does not constitute ongoing acceptance.
Section 14
Intellectual Property
Recycling is Dope retains all intellectual property rights in its brand, name, logo, methodologies, program frameworks, reporting templates, software, tools, website content, and all Deliverables produced under this Agreement.
Retailers, Producers, and Community Partners receive a limited, non-transferable license to use program materials solely for participation in the Recycling is Dope Program. No party may reproduce, distribute, modify, sublicense, or commercialize any Recycling is Dope intellectual property without prior written consent.
Use of the Recycling is Dope name, logo, or brand assets in any public communication, social media, signage, or marketing requires prior written authorization. Recycling is Dope may revoke brand usage rights at any time upon notice.
Section 15
Confidentiality
Each party agrees to maintain the confidentiality of the other party's proprietary information, pricing, program methodologies, audit findings, business data, and any non-public information disclosed during the program relationship.
  • This obligation applies to all audiences — Consumers, Retailers, Licensed Producers, and Community Partners.
  • Audit reports, diversion data, and program pricing are confidential and shall not be disclosed to third parties without written consent.
  • This confidentiality obligation survives termination of the Agreement for a period of three (3) years.
Section 16
Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, labour disputes, government actions, supply chain disruptions, transportation failures, commodity market failures, regulatory changes, or infrastructure failures. The affected party shall provide prompt written notice and use reasonable efforts to resume performance as soon as practicable.
Acknowledgement
By checking the acceptance box during enrollment, the Retailer confirms that:
They have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
They are authorized to bind the Retailer.
The Program is a twelve (12) month commitment.
The full Program Fee remains payable regardless of cancellation.
They authorize recurring payment processing.
The Program automatically renews annually unless cancelled in writing at least 30 days prior to the renewal date.
If selecting Monthly Financing, they agree to the Personal Guarantee provisions in Section 8.
Billing Entity
Services may be invoiced and collected by 2803363 Alberta Ltd. operating as [Re] Waste Recycling, Recycling is Dope, or its nominee. The Retailer agrees that payment to any such entity satisfies all payment obligations under this Agreement.
